After a brutal loss to the Chicago Bears on Monday Night Football, Dallas Cowboys’ Vice President/COO (and the owner’s son) Stephen Jones was very critical of the team.
“They’ve all got to be better,” Jones said. “Sean Lee has got to be better. Brandon Carr has got to be better. Bruce Carter has got to be better. Jason Hatcher has got to be better. We’ve all got to be better. We’ve got to do a better job when we do have injuries of having better players to get up and be there. It’s an organizational thing. You just have to do better on the defensive side of the ball. If we want to get to where we want to get to we can’t play that type of defense.”
The Cowboys are ranked last in the NFL in yards per game allowed, 28th in run defense, and 26th in points in allowed so it’s not like Jones is off base.
The loss took the Cowboys down to 9th place in the NFC when they were so close to holding first place in the East. You still have hope Cowboys fans. If the team wins the last three games of the season they’ll win the division.
